| Most of the "old bears" I have for sale have been purchased privately and so the bear will come with provenance. The remainder of the "old bears" will have been bought at auction. All my "old bears" have had the "freezer treatment" so there are no unwanted visitors (!), and will have had no repairs or the minimum of repairs so that he/she retains her personality. The description attached to each bear will say what repairs have been done. |
| At the moment I am working on 9 bears - most of whom only need a bit of a clean and spruce up. Included will be : - 1959 15" Chiltern Hugmee (the first with plastic dog nose) in absolutely mint condition - Late 1930's/early 40's 18" "Erris" who just needs a clean and slight pad repair - 1940's (early) 14" Chiltern who just needs a small repair to his chin seam and a bit of a clean - 1940's (early) 15" Chad Valley who's very floppy but other than that only needs slight clean (I can't decide whether to tighten his joints as he's so cute floppy!) - Late 1920's/early 1930's bear - still checking what make as he's very similar to early Merrythought or Deans but could be American! etc WATCH THIS SPACE THE BEARS SHOULD BE HERE BY CHRISTMAS 2011 (Sorry they should have been here by March 2011 but I've been a little hectic!) |
